By Heath Pickering. Deputy Editor, Election Watch

We've reviewed the asylum seeker policies of the established parties. All parties support increasing the refugee intake from the current level of 13,750. Even so, the preferred refugee intake between each party varies considerably.

The Liberal Party are aiming to increase the refugee intake to 18,750 by 2018-19. In addition, the government is resettling 12,000 additional refugees fleeing the Syrian conflict.

Labor supports increasing Australia's refugee intake to 27,000 by 2025.

The Greens have the most generous policy, which would see 50,000 refugees settled in Australia annually.
