And the "Frequent Flyer" winners are...

By Heath Pickering. Deputy Editor, Election Watch

We’ve followed the leaders of the four established parties throughout the eight week campaign. To honour the countless kilometres trekked, Election Watch is giving special awards to the tiresome travellers.

Malcolm Turnbull wins the "Marginal Maverick" award for visiting the most marginal seats

Bill Shorten wins the "Methodical Man" award for best variety of marginal, fairly safe and safe seats visited

Barnaby Joyce wins the "Wombat Warrior" award for most regional towns visited

Richard Di Natale wins the "Bubble Buster" award for most time spent campaigning in one city

Overall "election hotspots" - where all leaders campaigned in 2016.
