Vote Compass is a civic engagement application developed by a team from Vox Pop Labs, in association with the University of Melbourne and the ABC.

The goal of Vote Compass is to promote electoral literacy and public participation during election campaigns. Based on a user's responses to a series of propositions that reflect important aspects of the campaign conversation, Vote Compass calculates the alignment between the user's personal views and the positions of the political parties.

This is the third time Vote Compass has been run for an Australian federal election. In both 2013 and 2016, there were more than 1.2 million responses, making it the largest survey of voter attitudes ever undertaken in the country.
