On 7 May, 2018 the Melbourne School of Government and The Age co-hosted a Melbourne Lord Mayoral By-Election Youth Forum to discuss issues affecting young people studying, living and working in the City of Melbourne.
All by-election candidates were invited to the Forum, with seven participating on the day: Michael Burge, Sally Capp, Rohan Leppert, Ken Ong, Nathalie Nicole O'Sughrue, Bruce Poon, Katie Sfetkidis, Jennifer Wang, and Sally Warhaft.
The candidates were questioned by an expert panel:
- Professor Julie Willis, Dean, Faculty of Architecture, Building and Planning
- Clay Lucas, City Editor at The Age
- Tyson Holloway-Clarke, Elected Member of University Council
The candidates also took questions from the audience. The discussion was moderated by Professor John Howe, Director, Melbourne School of Government.
